Every single relay is tested on a specially-engineered testing bench which reproduces real conditions of use of the relay.
The testing bench contains transformer oil maintained at an average temperature of 90°C or 100°C (depending on customer requirements) which is subjected to 1 bar pressure for the whole duration of the testing procedure, about 2 hours (30 min according to EN 50216-3).
During this time, we adjust the thermostats and pressure switch according to client’s demand. Because these adjustments are made in conditions very similar to those of a transfomer in use, they are more precise than when done at ambient temperature.
Any dysfunction or leak is spotted during testing. The faulty relay is taken off and the dysfunction identified and registered.
After testing, a test certificate is issued and each relay is rinsed before being carefully packed in boxes of 6 pieces each.
